This gentle, hands-on technique involves the craniosacral system - a system of the body composed of membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surrounds the brain and spinal cord.  CST is effective at treating a number of problems, including pain, headaches, central nervous system disorder, chronic Fatigue syndrome, stress, tension and more.  Proponents of CST also claim that is aids in improving mental clarity and emotional well-being.

CUPPING

Massage cupping is ideal for performing deep-tissue massage and helps to drain toxins, loosen adhesions, facilitate blood flow and stimulate the body. Cups are placed on the body to form a suction of the skin, they can be left in one area or used in the massage by a well-trained therapist to create space between the layers of soft tissue. This ancient form of treatment not only creates a physical change in the body, it is believed that it moves chi.

MLD [MANUAL LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE]

Uses light, rhythmical, very precise hand movements, pressures and sequences and requires the therapist to develop a great degree of skill, having an intimate knowledge of the workings of the anatomy of the lymphatic system. The massage works at a skin level to influence the direction and speed of lymphatic flow, re-directing if necessary.

MFR [MYOFASCIAL RELEASE]

Fascia is interconnected to every other part of the body, and actually helps support the body's very structure, including the musculoskeletal system. When injury, inflammation, or physical or emotion trauma occurs, the fascia can become tight and cause pain and/or restricted range of motion. Aims to release the fascia and return it to a state of normalcy by applying gentle pressure to the restricted areas.

REFLEXOLOGY

Based on a system of points on the hands, feet and ears that correspond, or "reflex", to other areas of the body. Similar in theory to acupressure, reflexologists believe that applying appropriate pressure to these points stimulates the flow of energy, thus helping to relieve pain or blockage throughout the entire body and to ease stress and promote relaxation.

TRIGGER POINT THERAPY

Trigger points are areas of soft tissue in the body characterized by local pain, tightness, and tenderness. Seeks first to identify trigger points, then apply steady, appropriate pressure to the point to "release" it. Thus is usually followed by massage to the surrounding area to help treat the cause of the trigger point.

ABDOMINAL MASSAGE

Certain internal health challenges can be chronic conditions that cause ongoing stress for the individual. Seeking real relief can also be stressful in finding a viable solution to the condition. Abdominal massage directly affects the parasympathetic nervous system. Parasympathetic is the "rest/digest/de-stress" response in the body. Accompanied by a slower heart beat and reduced respiration, a calmed body is naturally easier to stimulate for desirable positive outcomes. This massage includes work to the region between the lower chest border and the top ridge of the pelvis, with all the various structures and systems that lay within. Both mensural pain and constipation are common conditions that can be significantly assisted by an abdominal massage.
