The main method of treatment I apply to every massage is a combination of two things, traditional deep tissue, and trigger point therapy.
What is traditional deep tissue massage? This modality consists of slowly warming the muscle tissue until we can address the deepest muscles of the body. Many people equate deep tissue to the use of extreme pressure and that is simply not the case. By slowly easing into the muscle, we can find those deep, aching knots and relieve them without immense pain. Traditional deep tissue massage can be a bit painful, but you shouldn’t be gritting your teeth the whole time. With this slow and methodical approach we can reach the trigger points in the muscle that may be referring pain to other areas.

This has been the most effective approach I’ve used on my clients, and you can expect to completely relax and let me find those annoying, painful knots and get them out for good. I originally started my career working with those who are active in a variety of fitness communities and focused mainly on aiding specific pathologies. But I have come to realize how beneficial deep tissue massage is for everyone, and quite simply how good it feels to finally have tension released.
